Our Story

I'm Oscar Quilala, the founder and filmmaker at Blind Tarsier Pictures, a California based production company. I have been making films since high school but found love in films when I was 12 years old. I found this visual medium of storytelling so compelling that I wanted to create my own stories through films. That is exactly what I did. I studied film at BIOLA University in La Mirada, California where I learned much and created movies with people who I can call very close friends. It is there too, where I found my love of the horror genre and explored that style in many of my projects. I love the horrific and the strange in film since the horrific and the strange oftentimes offer the most provocative stories and visuals. That is why I implement those traits in my movies. Now, graduated with my own production company, I still continue to use those characteristics in the projects. Through Blind Tarsier Pictures, we will be able to produce unique and quiet frankly, weird films for you all to enjoy. So sit back and enjoy the trip. Welcome to Blind Tarsier Pictures!
